The dimming speed can be adjusted with the dimming speedrotary switch. Simultaneouslythe soft on and soft off period ischanged.
The settings ESL consider the special conditions regarding dimmableenergy saving lamps:The starting operation is optimized and thedimm speed changes logarithmically. In thesesettings the specialswitching operation for children's rooms is not possible and nowound(inductive) transformer must be dimmed. In position -ESLMemory is switched off. This can be ofadvantage for energy savinglamps because cold energy saving lamps require a higherminimumbrightness as it will possibly be stored in Memory forwarmer energy saving lamps.Short-time control commands switchon/off, permanent control varies the brightness to themaximumlevel.
An interruption of control changes the direction of dimming.Thesetting of the brightness level is stored after switching off.Incase of a power failure the switching position and the brightnesslevel are stored.If applicable the dimmer will be switched on atthe stored brightness level after the supplyvoltage isrecovered.
Glow lamp current up to 5mA starting at 110 V.Automatic electronicoverload protection and over-temperature switch-off.With specialswitching operation for children's rooms: If the light is switchedon by holdingdown the push-button, it starts at the lowestbrightness level after approx. 1 second and dimsup slowly as longas the pushbutton is held down without modifying the last storedbrightnesslevel.
Snooze function: With a double impulse the lighting is dimmed downfrom the currentdimming position to the minimum brightness leveland switched off. The current dimmingposition as well as theadjustable minimum brightness level determine the dimming time(max.= 60 minutes) which can be reduced as required. It can be switchedoff at any time byshort-time control commands during the lightingis dimmed down. Holding down the pushbuttonduring the dimming downprocess dims up and stops the snooze function.
Mixing of L loads (inductive loads, e.g. wound transformers) and Cloads (capacitive loads,e.g. electronic transformers) is notpermitted. R loads (ohmic loads, e.g. 230V incandescentlamps andhalogen lamps) may be added anytime.
